Individual study plan
Starting 2012-02-20 there is a new form for the individual study plan (FO-INDS DRPP) to be used for all PhD students enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Physics and for PhD students applying or transferring to the Doctoral Program in Physics.
Form for Individual study plan:
Note that Adobe Reader version 8 or later is required.
Step 1: Updating the study plan
Fill in and design the study plan together with your supervisor. Fill in the form as complete as possible to avoid revisions and delay. Some help and instructions are displayed on the form by placing the cursor over the specific section. For questions, contact your Director of Doctoral studies at your department or the Program Director.
Course selection: See courses for scheduled courses. The total course package should cover the entire study period, i.e., at least 60 credits for the Doctoral degree and at least 30 credits for the Licentiate degree.
IMPORTANT! Advanced level courses to be included towards the Doctoral degree can amount to a maximum of 24 credits, and an equivalent of 15 credits for the Licentiate degree. See the subject study plans and KTH internal regulations for more information.
Remember to fill in the popular science description on the last page of the form so that other students and supervisors within the program can read about your research project. For now the student profiles pages will only be available internally within the program.
Step 2: Upload the study plan
Once completed and pre-approved by the main supervisor, upload the form on Bilda (Ping Pong) under the activity Doctoral Program in Physics ( Uploading the Individual Study Plan 2012)
Step 3: Signatures
Once the individual study plan has been reviewed and approved at department- and program-level, the study plan is printed and signed by (1) PhD student and (2) Main supervisor.
The signed study plan is then sent to the Deans office (see contact for Receiver for documents to Director of Doctroal studies and Dean's office).
Step 4: Closing
After the individual study plan has been approved by the Director of Doctoral studies at school level:
- the PhD student's portfolio on Bilda will be updated with the approved version,
- the PhD student's research profile will be updated, and
- information in Ladok will be updated.
The approved study plan is now saved in the PhD student's portfolio on Bilda and can be downloaded and updating for the next revision of the individual study plan.
