  • The Individual study plan
  • Applying for Ph.D. Thesis-defense
  • Applying for Lic.-seminar
  • Application for change of supervisor(s)

The following generally applies to the Doctoral program in Physics, although there are some differences in practice between the schools (see links on guidelines for more information).

1. Ph.D. Student and Supervisors

The Ph.D. Student and Supervisors together prepare documents with required background information (with possible attachments). The matter is then sent to the Director of Doctoral Studies at Department level, or to the Administrator for Doctoral Studies at the Department.

2. Director of Doctoral Studies at Department level

The Director of Doctoral Studies at the department assists the supervisor and Ph.D student, when necessary, and is responsible for a preview. The matter is then sent to the Program Director, or to the Administrator for Doctoral Studies at the Department.

3. Program Director at Department level

The Program Director reviews the documents regarding the program requirements, and extracts information used for planning and development activities (e.g., the student's courses planning). The matter is then sent to the Dean's office, or to the Administrator for Doctoral Studies at the Department.

4. Director of Doctoral Studies at School level

The Director of Doctoral Studies at School level approves, or takes a decision on the matter. The administrator of doctoral studies at department level is then notified of the decision and distributes the information/descision.
