During 2006, the School of Engineering Sciences
maintained to keep its turnover, 471 MSEK, at the same
level as 2005 (469 MSEK).

However the sources of financing
changed a bit towards more external financing, 203 MSEK,
than the year before. Our income from governmental grants
to finance undergraduate education and research plus
graduate studies seems to decline, most due to less people in
the undergraduate education area.

Looking some years ahead, the school although seems pretty
well financed due to a large contract volume, which at the
end of 2006 was 506 MSEK. At the same time 2005 the
volume was 457 MSEK which is an increase with
10,7 %. This increase implicates that the school continues
to perform excellent research and education within its
fields. Compared to 2005, the cost structure did not change much.

Our major costs are staff costs 60 %, other operating costs
25 % and includes traveling, equipment without
depreciation, overheads and expenditures. Premises are the
third major cost and adds up to 12 % of total costs.
