Department of mathematics

The department is one of the leading mathematical departments in Scandinavia. We conduct successful research in both pure and applied mathematics. Our teaching is extensive and is an important part of most programs at KTH.

RESEARCH

Accurate tumor eradication

Improving cancer radiotherapy is the research interest of KTH professor Anders Forsgren together with graduate students Rasmus Bokrantz and Albin Fredriksson. The aim is for as much radiation as possible to hit the tumor and spare the tissue around it and thus leading to a radiotherapy that is as efficient as possible.
